• This introductory course is designed for student families just getting started on the ACT. Advanced students will pick up useful tips from the lessons as well.

  • Parents are strongly advised to join their students for the critical Test-Taking Tips chapter at the end of this course. This chapter has several important recommendations for the student and the parent to implement well before the test date and have proven to be very effective at improving scores.

  • The ACT runs 2h5m for the required English, Math, and Reading sections. The optional Science section runs an additional 40m. This intro course provides an overview of the content and format of the ACT.

  • This course includes 2h15m of video lessons covering format, pacing, and important question types.

  • This course is designed to be completed by your student in one evening.

Co-Founder of PrepAccelerator Dr. Sampath

Dr. Sampath has a PhD in Statistics from The Ohio State University, where he won both teaching and research awards for his work. He has an extensive background in quantitative finance, computer science, and data science, and has won national and international awards for his statistical research. Dr. Sampath spent close to 20 years as an investment portfolio manager with a focus on both fixed income and equities before moving to education full-time. Dr. Sampath is passionate about improving the quality of, and access to, tutoring for standardized tests. His continuing goal is to provide instruction and materials of the highest quality to every student and customized to his or her specific learning style.
