ACT English Boot Camp
Replicates ACT English from PrepAccelerator's popular live ACT Boot Camp. 7 hours of instruction, techniques, pacing, hacks, problem-solving, and practice questions. By Dr. Sampath.
BEFORE YOU SUBSCRIBE: For students currently at 27 or lower on the ACT English section, PrepAccelerator strongly recommends the ACT English Bundle (PrepAccelerator.com/OnDemand), which combines this module with our 'ACT English Drills' module, as students typically need both modules to improve their ACT English score. The ACT English Drills module contains hours of detailed video solutions for 375 rigorous English drills and complements the theory taught in this ACT Boot Camp module.
The ACT English section expects students to answer 75 questions in 45 minutes. English grammar rules and rhetorical skills are evaluated. Most schools do NOT teach English grammar today, so students typically choose the multiple choice that 'looks right,' 'sounds right,' or 'does not look weird.' (Ask your student!) For a meaningful score improvement, students should master these grammar rules and rhetorical skills. Our module teaches students how.
This module reproduces the ACT English segment of PrepAccelerator's popular live online ACT Boot Camp that has helped thousands of students achieve their target score. For live boot camp details, visit PrepAccelerator.com/ACTEvents.
This module includes 7 hours of detailed, self-contained video lessons spanning important theory, practice questions (38), and solutions. Also included are detailed instructions on how to get the most value out of this module, resources to improve the section score, and rigorous next steps for effective practice after the completion of this module.
Parents are strongly encouraged to view the Preliminaries and Next Steps chapters of this module with their student. Spanning 50 minutes, these chapters will help parents understand how they can help their student plan the study timetable and achieve mastery of the material in a timely fashion.
Creating a free account lets you preview a lesson in Chapter 2 before subscribing.
This module also includes test-taking tips and identifies common student errors. Additionally, important grammar rules and rhetorical techniques for memorization are highlighted frequently during this module. Students are told to turn these rules and techniques into paper flash cards for memorization since ACT English tests memorization and quick recall.
